React Job: Frontend Engineer

We're looking for folks excited about growth to join our amazing Growth team. You will build features that guide the users through their first steps in Deepnote, from landing page, through onboarding, billing up until the point they are activated users happy to start their data exploration journey. At the same time, you will have an opportunity to participate in growth experiments and optimise our growth loops to get even more users to experience Deepnote.

What you'll work on:

The Growth team is first and foremost creating delightful experiences for new users discovering Deepnote. The journey of a new user seems simple, but there is a lot of places where you will contribute as Growth engineer:

• Firstly, users need to find out about Deepnote. You will have freedom to create growth experiments that drive the signups. It can be anything: Deepnote applications, blogs, referral programs, new sharing flows, social media integrations - you name it…

• Many of our users first interact with us through our landing page, where you will optimise conversions based on analytics data or even implement an AB testing framework.

• After they decide to sing-up, you will help manage the entire flow (via Oauth, SSOs or emails) and implement new auth strategies, such as auth with Azure.

• As they are trying the free version, you will create a beautiful onboarding experience where you explain all the important features so they get quickly up to speed and understand the benefits of using Deepnote.

• If they are ready to upgrade their Deepnote game, they will be billed through the systems you will help manage.

About you:

• You have at least 4-5 years of relevant experience.

• You are excited about startup growth and you want to creatively attract new users.

• You are data driven and don’t believe claims not supported by analytics and sound methodology.

• You can switch between writing fast experimental code and maintainable production code for core components.

Bonus points:

• You have experience with working with designers through Figma.

• You have experience in data analysis and/or data science.

• You have worked on notebooks, visualisations, BI tools, or data pipelines.
